Dwight Seoul seeks a highly experienced and qualified leader of learning support. The candidate should be able to successfully lead a team of highly motivated and hardworking professionals specializing in learning support programmes and having experience in an international school environment. Professional experience in classroom teaching and special educational needs is essential, as well as an understanding of how to organize an EAL programme.
The ideal candidate is able to facilitate the cognitive, social/emotional and/or behavioral development of students across all grade levels that link to PYP, MYP and DP classes, where EAL instruction must be differentiated and communicated back and forth between the department, class teachers and parents.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
– Appropriate Teaching certification
– Relevant teaching experience
– Post-graduate qualifications or certification in Special Education- Experience using a range of formal and informal diagnostic assessments
– A commitment to continuous improvement
– A commitment to student learning, wellbeing and safeguarding
– A commitment to recognising all students as individuals and the development of differentiated practices which embrace each child’s Spark of Genius
– Educational leadership experience preferably in an International School and with IB curriculum
– Excellent Communication Skills
